GIVING BIRTH TO YOUR DREAMS AND VISIONS (PART 2)

WHEN THOSE YOU RESPECT REJECT YOU.

As a continuation of yesterday’s article, we will keep looking at what it takes to give birth to your dreams and visions by looking at the examples of those who have done it in our world today.

 3. HENRY FORD – HOW MANY BANKRUPTCIES CAN YOU SUFFER?

Henry Ford who is today renowned for his innovative assembly line and the Ford brand of cars went bankrupt 5 times before he became the success story he is known to be today.

How many bankruptcies can you suffer in a row before you hit success? Most people I know don’t like to suffer defeat for too many times. If you know the same kind of people as I know, one or two bankruptcies is enough for them to give up. To people of our generation, even two bankruptcies are too much for them to abandon their dreams.

“Temporary setbacks are overshadowed by persistence” ― Quentin L.Cook

How many bankruptcies can you suffer and still hang on to your dream? If Henry Ford had given up on his dream, Hhmm, where will our world be, with the idea of automobiles for the masses? Thank God, Henry Ford never gave up. I truly hope that one day, someone will also have the cause to thank God that you did not give up.

“Failure is simply an opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.” ― Henry Ford

4. HONDA – WHEN THOSE YOU RESPECT REJECT YOU

Soichiro Honda, the founder of the Honda Motor Empire, started out as a failure. Today he is one of the most successful producers of automobiles in the world.

Mr. Honda suffered rejection from a company like Toyota. His ideas were regarded as not good enough. On the path to fulfilling your dream, people you respect and look up to would often express their lack of confidence in your dream. If you give up, you bury your dream. If you keep on going on, you will be a blessing to yourself, your family and the world at large.

“Every time I thought I was being rejected for something good, I was actually being re-directed for something better.” ― Dr. Steve Maraboli

5. MORITA – WHEN RICE REFUSES TO COOK.

Sony is a brand whose product is probably present in every household in the world. The founder of that company is called Morita. Not so many of us will know that name today, but we sure know his product. He started out as a failure, but today Sony is a multibillion dollar company.

Morita, is a wonderful example of the role of endurance in success. Mr. Akio Morita started out by trying to invent a rice cooker. He only sold about a hundred units. There was a reason for that. His rice cookers never cooked too much rice. They were rather burning them. When Mr. Morita could not make a head way with the rice cooker, he found other ventures. He tried his luck in other products. Thanks to his failure, Sony today is known as a producer of all kinds of home and industrial appliances.

“Discouragement and failure are of two of the surest stepping stones to success.” ― Dale Carnegie

Friends, let your failure lead you to a new horizon. Don’t allow your failure to stop you. Let it lead you to other ventures. Let your failure push you harder towards success.

To Be continued tomorrow with the following topic:

  • Saying thank you to those who rejected you.
