HOW TO TURN PROBLEMS INTO FINANCIAL PROSPERITY. (PART 5)

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND RUN TOWARDS PROBLEMS

What of King David? Goliath was a problem to the children of God and David solved this problem. This was David’s shortcut to prominence. The problem he solved brought him out of oblivion into a position of relevance and significance.

The Philistine army had gathered for war against Israel. The two armies faced each other, camped for battle on opposite sides of a steep valley. A Philistine giant measuring over nine feet tall and wearing full armor came out each day for forty days, mocking and challenging the Israelites to fight. His name was Goliath. Saul, the King of Israel, and the whole army were terrified of Goliath.

One day David, the youngest son of Jesse, was sent to the battle lines by his father to bring back news of his brothers. David was probably just a young teenager at the time. While there, David heard Goliath shouting his daily defiance, and he saw the great fear stirred within the men of Israel. David responded, “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of God?”

So David volunteered to fight Goliath. It took some persuasion, but King Saul finally agreed to let David fight against the giant.

Dressed in his simple tunic, carrying his shepherd’s staff, sling and a pouch full of stones, David approached Goliath. The giant cursed at him, hurling threats and insults.

David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied … today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air … and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel … it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”

As Goliath moved in for the kill, David reached into his bag and slung one of his stones at Goliath’s head. Finding a hole in the armor, the stone sank into the giant’s forehead, and he fell face down on the ground.

This is the attitude that will open up God’s abundance on you. The attitude that will take responsibility and run towards problems instead of running away from problems; this is the attitude that will make all problems fall face down on the ground.

If only you will be proactive today about the problems around you, you will discover that every problem has its solution within it like the hole in Goliath’s armor. Every problem no matter how big and insurmountable it may appear to be has within it, its weakness and that’s where the solution to the problem lies.

What problems will cease to exist because you are here on earth?

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” -Nelson Mandela

Come to think of it, if David had not moved closer to the problem, would he have discovered the hole in Goliath’s armor? If David had not slung one of his stones would Goliath have fallen face down? That is to tell you that you’ll need to sit down and think of the possible solutions to the problems. Do extensive research and study on the subject matter and come up with a solution. Then, and only then, will God’s abundance come pouring down.

Finally, David took Goliath’s sword, killed him and then cut off his head. When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they turned and ran. So the Israelites pursued, chasing and killing them and plundering their camp. So on that day David won a great victory and stood before all the land as the one who had saved his people from their enemies.

“Obstacles are like wild animals. They are cowards but they will bluff you if they can. If they see you are afraid of them… they are liable to spring upon you; but if you look them squarely in the eye, they will slink out of sight.” – Orison Swett Marden

You will be surprised as many so-called insurmountable problems will take to their heels if you will be dedicated enough to solve those problems. The problem of walking bare-footed in Africa took to its heels when Bata Shoe Company came to Africa. The Philistines took to their heels when David killed Goliath.

What problems will take to its heels because of you? What problems will cease to exist because you are here on earth? What businesses will you set up in answer to specific problems in your nation? Don’t you tell me, you are still going about searching and competing for a high paying job when there are billions of dollars hidden in unresolved problems around you.

Everybody of significance that you admire got their job because there was a problem to be solved and they were equipped to be the solution. Anywhere you see a problem, there is a promotion. Joseph was elevated from prison to prime minister under 24 hours. Anywhere there is a problem, you got a business. Flying Doctors Nigeria Limited started by Dr. Ola Orekunrin is a business venture born out a tragic event. Anywhere there is a problem, you got a job. Moses got his job to lead the people of Israel out of slavery.

“I don’t see the point of being a human being if you are not going to be responsible to your fellow human beings. Selfishness thefts away the human and reduces you to just a being.” -Terri Guillemets

Looking for jobs is just a selfish desire to earn you a living. Think and come up with solutions to problems that will affect other lives. Set up businesses to solve urgent issues that will give others a livelihood.

Stop looking for jobs, start looking for problems to solve for your nation. Start looking for problems to solve for your field. Start looking for problems to solve that will better the lives of people living in your community. It’s time to arise!

To be continued Tomorrow, don’t miss it.
