Hello Everyone, recently, some Nigerian Christian Journalists came to me with questions about my messages that expose the falsehood in the Nigerian church. They asked me some questions and I gave them answers. I will like to share both the questions and the answers I gave with you my friends, fans and followers.

The questions and answers will be released in parts. Please read and share this piece with as many people as you can. I believe it will go a long way to help the truth be heard in Nigeria, Africa and all over the world.

Blessings!

For the Love Of God, Church and Nation!

Question 5.

Jesus said Ye are the light of the world, ye are the salt of the earth. Have the Christians acted as this in Nigeria? If not, what are the factors militating against this?

Answer

Yes, I think to some extent the Nigerian church has been the light and the salt in preaching the elementary gospel of salvation and getting people to recognize that there’s answer in the church. So in that sense, to the minimum level, we could say yes the church in Nigeria has tried a little bit to be the light and salt in the society. But not any way close to who we are supposed to be.

The church is actually supposed to be responsible for solutions to all the challenges and problems of the society, and since we are only preaching the gospel of salvation which only tells people to come to church and wait to go to heaven, that way we are not addressing the issues on ground.

My own belief and what we have done in Ukraine is that we have practiced the gospel of the Kingdom which includes the gospel of salvation and transformation of the society.

In the Acts of the Apostles, the disciples also practiced the gospel of the kingdom; gospel with social responsibility. They took care of the needy in their society. They took care of the people to such extent that there was no needy one amongst them. So, that is the kind of thing that the Nigerian church is supposed to be doing today. We are supposed to take care of the needy in church and in the society in general.

Acts 4:34 -35 describes it thus; “there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need”.

If we go through the Acts of the Apostles, you will recognize that the church had ministries for widows, orphans etc.

In Acts chapter 6, they set up a system where they were meeting the needs of all the people who were coming to the church and the city. This is the way we are to be the light and salt in the world. We would be able to solve all of the problems in Nigeria.

Question 6 is coming soon..
