Washington State Governor Jay Inslee named Edirin Okoloko, a Nigerian, as a judge in the Snohomish County Superior Court.
Jay Inslee said in his presentation:
Edirin has a clear dedication to the legal profession and a long history of law that has brought justice to the most vulnerable victims of crime in our state. He will be an excellent judge for Snohomish County.
Edirin Okoloko, who graduated in Law from the University of Benin, Nigeria, earned another law degree from the University of Seattle Law School. He will replace Judge George Bowden, who is retiring.
Edirin Okoloko has successfully completed four murder trials and has been recognized by his office for carrying out a large number of trials.
Prior to working as a prosecutor, Okoloko was a law clerk to former Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Michael Downes.
