5 WAYS TO OVERCOME PAIN AND DIFFICULTIES

1. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT ONLY THROUGH PAINS GREAT DESTINES ARE BORN.

When we know that all great things in this world are born through pain then we simply have to persevere. Even giving birth to children takes a lot of pain. Our only option is to go through the process through perseverance. In this case, think of the great destiny that is coming out of your pain. All God’s promises are birth on earth through pain. Remember that there is a great destiny coming forth through you. Focus on that great destiny or on that God’s promise given to you.

“Pain is the feeling. Suffering is the effect the pain inflicts. If one can endure pain, one can live without suffering. If one can withstand pain, one can withstand anything. If one can learn to control pain, one can learn to control oneself. ” ― James Frey

2. DURING PAIN, DON’T RELY ON YOUR OWN STRENGTH.

When we rely on our own strength at a time of pain, we normally get disappointed and broken. It is at this time we must remember that His strength is enough for us. We should quit focusing on our won strength and beginning focusing on His strength. This is because your strength will never be enough in times of pain. Get yourself hooked to God. Hang on to His strength. Put your hope in Him. Then it would be easier for you to go through whatever pain it is.

“If we think that this life is all there is to life, then there is no interpretation of our problems, our pain, not even of our privileges. But everything changes when we open up to the possibility that God’s story is really our story too.” ― Max Lucado

 3. IN PAIN, THINK MORE ABOUT HEAVEN.

One of the greatest reliefs you could get in times of pain is to focus your attention on heavenly things. Think of the joy in heaven. Think of the angels. Think of the bliss and the glory. Think of yourself there. Pain will lose its grip on you in the process.

“If one could look a while through the chinks of heaven’s door, and see the beauty and bliss of paradise; if he could but lay his ear to heaven, and hear the ravishing music of those seraphic spirits, and the anthems of praise which they sing, how would his soul be exhilarated and transported with joy.”―William Watson

4. REMEMBER CHRIST’S SUFFERING.

When you are in pain, try to remember the suffering of the Son of God. One of the most excruciating pain ever suffered by man was suffered by Jesus because of the injustice involved. Remember his suffering and how he went through it. That should be a model to you on how graciously you should pass through your own suffering.

“Without pain, there would be no suffering, without suffering we would never learn from our mistakes. To make it right, pain and suffering is the key to all windows, without it, there is no way of life.” ― Angelina Jolie

 5. DON’T GIVE CREDIT TO YOUR PAIN.

Some people talk too much about their pains, thereby giving it too much credit. Whatsoever you tolerate dominates you. It is better for you to resist your pain rather than celebrate it. If you give too much credit to your pain, it overwhelms you. When you give too much glory to the circumstances you are going through, it inundates you. So in your pain, try and give glory, praise and honor to God, no matter how painful the situation or circumstance might be.

“Take chances, make mistakes. That’s how you grow. Pain nourishes your courage. You have to fail in order to practice being brave.” ― Mary Tyler Moore

Ladies and gentlemen, God did not promise us a life without pain and difficulties. Real life demands that we go through both bliss and pain. We simply need to learn how to walk through them without them breaking us.

“Turn your wounds into wisdom.” ― Oprah Winfrey

I hope this article has to some extent being able to give you understanding on how you could cope with pain, difficulties and also how you could be a blessing to others through the knowledge you gained here.
