CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO OUR PRESIDENT-ELECT.

Hello my fellow Nigerians, congratulations!!! In this my message I want to address our just elected president, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

I first heard about you like most Nigerians, when the military coup of December 1983 took place. I was just a young lad about to finish my secondary school. We all rejoiced like we are all rejoicing now.

However, those were by gone days. This is a new day. We are all full of expectations. The expectations that were cut short in 1985 by another military coup, that didn’t live to fruition. However, today because of the democratic process that is ongoing, and because in your own words, you are now a converted democrat, nothing can truncate this God given opportunity.

I want to congratulate you again on behalf of Nigerians in Ukraine, Europe and in the diaspora generally.

Sunday Adelaja is my name, I am a Pastor, an ardent supporter of yours. I, like many other Nigerians, believe in your character and integrity. Millions of Nigerians have put their trust in you, in the hope to get this country out of the mess we find ourselves in. We of course believe that God will come to our aid, but God only works through men. We believe you are God’s chosen man for this hour. We pray that God will use you to bring deliverance to our country.

Ecclesiastics 10:17

Blessed are you, O land, when your king is the son of nobles, and your princes’ feast in the morning! And your princes feast at the proper time—for strength and not for drunkenness

I however would like to drop a word of advice to you on the aspiration of our people. Even though you are already aware of this and all other complex issues facing our fatherland, yet as a leader in the body of Christ, I feel obliged to let you hear of your people’s groaning from this side of the ocean.

The Only Thing Necessary For The Triumph Of Evil Is For Good Men To Do Nothing.” – Edmund Burke

  1. Sir, I appeal to you to get the best Nigerians, no matter where they are. There are so many good Nigerians out there in America, Europe, and Nigeria. Please let’s go for the best, no matter the cost. To fix Nigeria in the state we are now, only the very best can deliver the best results.
  1. Sir, let us endeavor to introduce competition into governmental positions in Nigeria. Let’s open doors for sane competition. Let’s begin to put adverts in the newspapers and on the television for every position that is not political, that we want to bring people into. Let’s have sound and healthy competition for all the projects that are going to be awarded.
  1. Sir, Let us build a transparent Nigeria at last. Let everybody know what is going on by TV and other media outlets. Let the media cover everything that the government is doing that is not of security significance. Let people know the due process that is been taken to execute all government policies. Let there be transparency, that transparency would bring trust and bring investment.
  1. Sir, I think it is wise to do everything possible to involve as many people as possible from the diaspora in your government. There are so many out here who are well educated and want to come back to Nigeria. No doubt most of these people know what it means for a country to work, because they are exposed to it on a daily basis in the countries they presently live.
  1. Sir, my next appeal to you is that you fight corruption with all the resources of the nation. You already showed by example that you have what it takes to sanitize Nigeria, through your war against indiscipline campaign. Please we need that again, let’s fight corruption with all our strength.

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

I am sure that your government will bring Nigeria into her best years. Our best days are just ahead of us as a nation. In your integrity we believe sir!

God bless you sir and happy reign as the democratically elected President of our great nation.
