God bless you sir..keep on saying the truth,we are in the last days whereby everyone is going to account what he had done..thank you sir...
Revelations 3 vs. 14 to 20 explains it all. You are very right sir
Just want to share this post cos of the incessant agitations going over in Nigeria on d issue of tithe which has created strong hatred for many men of God and generated so much heat to the church of God. Same situation occurred to d congregation of Ephesus in Revelation 2:2-5 when Jesus commended the congregation for their great labour and endurance towards the action of the false apostles. Christ saw their endurance and how they persevered for his name sake. However, Christ further warned them on how they have left their first love when they received d truth about Christ saving grace. But have finished their love tainted with hatred as a result of d deeds of d false apostles. Same thing is happening in our time. And I love ur passion and zeal for Christ and d nation. But let us not forget that atimes our zeal and passion can overtake our flesh and make us to go against the spirit which could yield to spirit of protest, agitation and violence . Cos the spirit doesn't dwell where there's turmoil and confusion. He is calm and gentle to instruct us the way out in d midst of trouble. I can begin to see d revolutionary way at which ppl are handling this like in d time of d reformers when blood was spilled and hatred for Other denominations became d order of d day. This is what God is against. Care must be taken in handling this doctrinal issues so as not to lead us to sin and be like haughty apostles in 3John. please beware!
21ST CENTURY DOCTRINAL INSURRECTION By Martin White In a bid to correct certain doctrinal errors in the present church of Christ, many Christians have gone over board to become anti-christian in the cyberspace. They’ve slipped into hate and dissension. From one error they have strayed into another error. With a daily relentless bid to exegete the scripture, they’re now almost like the Jews aptly described by God as the synagogue of Satan because they persecuted the church. Some believers are now coming to Facebook to call pastors thieves because of “tithe.” What do they think they’re doing to the church? Helping God to prune his church? That’s no man’s job but God’s. Is this the best way to address the doctrinal errors in the church? Was this the approach adopted by the early church when certain errors on doctrine sprouted? Doctrinal error is not a new trend in the body of Christ. It has existed since the days of the early church of the New Testament. The apostles battled the two extremes of licentiousness and legalism. In Acts 15:1-2, the bible noted that certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.” But Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them. So based on this, they all agreed that Paul and Barnabas and some others should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders to determine the truth. Who actually were this people that Paul and Barnabas disagreed with? See the answer in scripture below: Acts 15:4-5 says, “And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders; and they reported all things that God had done with them. But some of the sect of the PHARISEES who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.” The Pharisees who had believed! They got saved by grace through faith but because they were so used to the Law of Moses they felt they had to keep their salvation by laws. After the apostles listened to the disputes, they responded with what the truth is, which is what Paul and Barnabas had been telling them (Acts 10:1-5). Titus 3:10 says, “A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject.” If correction is communicated in love and uttermost respect instead of coming to Facebook to mention names of churches or individuals, those in errors will build no defence against the truth. Instead of faulting certain trends in the church and indirectly using your post to get at some church leaders, teach the scriptures! No child of God will resist the truth! Every child of God has a recreated human spirit that is only receptive to the truth of God’s word. But when the truth is coiled around hate and arrogance, it will not been seen or perceived. Its effect will not be felt. What I make of the doctrinal conflicts witnessed mostly this year in our cyberspace is a deliberate bid by some young Christian people who wouldn’t accord the word of God in them its due diligence, faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and love that could make them identical with Christ’s personage. Today we have growing number of Christians that primarily search the scripture as a counter tool to denigrate others. The word is not stored in their spirit; it’s in their head! When God’s word penetrates into the spirit of a believer, it’ll first of all change him and then produce humility in him. You can’t have God’s word in your spirit and still come to Facebook to judge his ministers. Who are you to pass judgment on another man’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls… (Romans 14:4). Instead of deploring the word of God as a corrective tool for others while not allow it to change you? Those of you that claim to be the prefect of “revelation” and accurate scriptural exegesis, how often do you pray to God for that minister or preacher that you think preaches heresies? Beloved brethren, do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judge and criticized and condemn yourselves (Matthew 7:1 AMP). If you condemn others, others will condemn you too. That’s what the scripture says (Luke 6:37). God bless you! Martin White, a teacher, writer and speaker, writes from Abuja.
