6 POWERFUL ADVANTAGES THAT DISCIPLINE GIVES YOU

1. Discipline prepares you for future challenges.

Yes, indeed! If you as a Nigerian are disciplined enough to do the academic tasks you are given while in school, you will realize that, if for any reason you find yourself in any western university, you are likely to perform excellently well.

Challenges will come your way and when the challenges come, you shatter and ride over them when others are running. You see, you never can predict the types of challenges and issues you will face as you journey through life. However, when you have already developed the required internal stamina and strength, you will be able to face and tackle any challenge that comes your way.

Like in my case, I was able to stay and persevere for several hours in the place of prayer for the church because years back, I did persevere in the place of reading when I was to learn Russian language. The same thing happened when our church was going through growth challenges because I was a black man pastoring a church of 99 percent white people. I was able to overcome the challenge because discipline had prepared me for any and every form of challenges that might come my way.

2. Discipline develops skills in you.

A skill refers to the ability to do something well and it is usually gained through experience or training. Whether you teach, or write or sing or run, you will develop the needed skills when you live a life of discipline. When you engage the force of discipline, the skills and cleverness in you are developed and unleashed.

3. Discipline makes you influential.

To be influential means to have a powerful effect on people. If you take your pen and make a list of the most influential people around the world, I am sure one common denominator in their life will be the fact that they are indeed disciplined. When you are discipline, the world hears about you like the world has heard about these young Nigerians like you. They are young, tough,

disciplined and unafraid to take the plunge.

4. Discipline activates a force in you.

The force that discipline activates in you is that which enables you to surmount any challenge in life. When that force is activated, you become unstoppable and will survive in any climate or location because what propels you to succeed is from within you.

5. Discipline creates in you a sizable amount of power.

Power is essential to make progress in the face of daunting challenges; power is necessary to say no to things which are not good for oneself and for the society. But then how do you generate power to say no at the right time? It is through Discipline.

6. Discipline makes you a trailblazer.

A trailblazer is someone who makes a new path through the wilderness, s/he is a pioneer, an innovator like this Nigerian woman whose story I read.

To be continued Tomorrow, don’t miss it.
