VOTE OF THANKS TO EMIR LAMIDO SANUSI.

Hello everybody, hello fellow Nigerians. I am continuing my vote of thanks to worthy Nigerians like I call them. People that I think we owe our appreciation to, for the position they took in making sure that we are having a successful transition. Thanks to them, we have just had a successful Presidential election.

I think there are a lot of people who played critical and wonderful roles in this success, but there are some of them that deserve a special mention. One of such people is Emir Lamido Sanusi.

Before he was the Emir, he was the governor of the Central bank of Nigeria. First of all, he came in to clean up the mess that was there, he sanitized our financial system. For this he deserves praise and acknowledgment.

In relation to this particular election, I think being a whistle blower by raising the alarm and alerting the world about the missing 20 billion USD was major. Some people say he cooked it up and it wasn’t true, but recently I read in some newspapers, that after the victory of Gen. Buhari, the 20 billion USD where about has been discovered.

This man comes across as a truthful person. Justice and truth are paramount. It doesn’t really matter who says them. If it is a Muslim who is saying the truth, we must learn to be on the side of the truth no matter what, either it is been said by a Muslim or a Christian. If it is justice, no matter who is standing for justice, we must be on the side of Justice, it doesn’t matter if it is from a Muslim or from a Christian.

The fact that Malam lamido Sanusi is so truthful, he endears himself to me as a Nigerian. I am sure he has endeared himself to a lot of Nigerians as well. You could see that this man is interested in having a country that works.

I want to express my appreciation to Emir Lamido Sanusi. Thank you so much for been one of the bright lights that shines in the darkness of a nation. Thank you for bringing your moral fortitude forward and your positional wealth to enrich our society with truthfulness, forthrightness and transparency.

I want to say that if not for that whistle that was blown by Lamido Sanusi, a lot of voters won’t have been convinced that the government of President Jonathan had to be ousted. The 20 billion USD factor, alongside the Boko Haram factor, was a strong card in the hand of the opposition and in the hand of the voters to sway the election the way of Gen. Buhari.

That was a great example for the whole country. It was a great example for posterity. I think people like me are watching and not only me. I am sure that millions of Nigerians are watching and are following. They know that next time, we need to stand for the truth.

A lot of people are seeing that example and are saying, it doesn’t matter if you are going to lose your job because Emir Lamido sanusi lost his Job. What matters is that he stood his ground. He refused to apologize, he refused to retract his words. He just stood for principles. It is amazing to see that this man was removed as the governor of the Central bank of Nigeria, but God found a way to compensate him by putting him on the throne of his father.

Truth will always win, no matter what, at any time, any day. Nigerians need to become lovers of truth and virtues. Let’s be passionate about virtue and truth. Let’s begin to elevate and celebrate people who stand for truth, who promote the truth and who are seeking for sanity in our society.

Emir Lamido Sanusi, My appreciation, my gratitude to you sir. For the position you have taken to show a positive example to our nation and the future generation of Nigerians. Thank you.
