CAN THE CHURCH DO ANYTHING ABOUT WORLD POVERTY?

• The facts of the effect of poverty are horrible and sobering and we are faced with the question, can the church do anything to solve the problem of worldwide poverty and the inequality of wealth distribution?

• The answer is YES!

• Aside from foreign aids that rich countries give to poor countries and the economic theories of supply and demand, is there a spiritual dimension to poverty?

• We have to go beyond the economic sphere to blend the laws of economics and spirituality.

• The church has to address the individual hearts of men and women as they submit to God in their quest to overcome poverty.

• The purpose of the church is not to have people come in and sit down, rather it is to go and change cultures by establishing God’s value system.

• This value system involves God’s system regarding money and wealth.
