This all started in 2015. I had gotten myself into some crisis in 2014 and was forced to learn the hard way. Instead of sitting down to weep over my challenge, I quickly realized that this issue was created by me and I must do everything in my power to resolve it all by myself. I had lost so much money from a wrong investment I made, and I decided to fix this problem by going for knowledge. Ignorance is a killer, go for knowledge!
I still remember walking into Excel bookshop in my estate that faithful afternoon to search for books on finances- I needed to get the laws governing money and investment right as I had been defrauded. I had picked about 5 books and was about leaving when my attention was drawn to this book- Money wont make you rich authored by Sunday Adelaja. I thought to myself – what kind of book is this, why would a man write such a book? Does he really understand what he is saying? If Money wont make me rich, then what will?
Out of curiosity, I bought the book and decided to read it before all the other books as I needed to understand why a Pastor would speak about money in a manner contrary to what I had been used to hearing from Pastors. Note that prior to this time, I knew nothing about this man, except the fact that my husband had mentioned him once in a discussion we had few years before then. As I started reading this book, I was astonished at the content, as the information I received from the book was nothing compared to all that I had read or heard about finances prior to this time, especially as it was coming from a Pastor.
This book took me into a new journey that I am currently experiencing right now in my life. At this juncture I would like to advice anyone reading this post who would not read books or materials authored by anyone else except the ones written by their Pastor, you are doing yourself a disservice. I know a ministry who subtly promotes this; this is an erroneous and destructive teaching, please, stay away from such! The members of such a gathering would never discover some truths about life and would be held perpetually in bondage. This book liberated me from some of the wrong doctrines I had held unto for many years.
After reading “Money wont make you rich”, I had so many other questions regarding some statements made in that book and I needed more information from source. The author stated that he made himself a millionaire in USD in 18 months and afterwards embarked on a project of raising 200 other millionaires in his ministry! Wow, that one really got to me. I needed to know exactly what he did to raise 200 millionaires as the only message I was used to around me was to give to the man of God in order to make yourself a millionaire. I was then attending a church where 70%-80% of the teachings centered around giving, (Giving is not bad in itself as I am giver and I love giving for noble causes), but the error in the teaching was the subtle promotion of the fact that when you give all you have to the man of God, you will receive an abundance as was recorded in the experience of the woman who gave her last meal to Elijah – I do not know how many people have truly experienced this after emptying their pockets into their man of God’s. This erroneous teaching has resulted in many becoming impoverished through giving for the wrong reasons.
This teaching also promotes laziness, as the people think that they can fold their hands after sowing to the anointing as they have been promised that a release has been made to them that should translate to receiving abundance. I saw people struggling to give at every service and I was constantly thinking of a way to help these people, how can these people be helped out of this situation? The country was in a recession, yet giving constituted 80% of the teachings, no message on personal development, no business seminars to engage the people on how to get their businesses right for better returns, no Sunday service dedicated to the needy people in church who could barely feed, no discussion on why the country was in a recession and if there was any way out of it, nothing in that regards, rather fervent prayers were daily being made for God to secure and protect the members’ businesses from the recession, for the government to receive wisdom on the way to handle the situation and for God to fix the problem!
What a prayer, what a waste of time of speaking in tongues as God will not answer those self-centred prayers no matter how long we pray. We are the earth’s managers and must fix this problem by ourselves, not God. However, after reading this book, I was liberated from all these lies. 1 year after reading this book (Money wont make you rich) ,I took yet another bold step; I decided to write this Pastor. I found his email on google and sent an email requesting for more information as it was my desire to help some of the brethren who were struggling. As I sent that mail, I honestly did not expect a reply as I had never seen a Nigerian Pastor responding to an email. Even the church where I was attending; I did not have access to the Pastor’s email or phone number, talk less of sending him a direct email. To my greatest surprise, I got a response to my email within 48 hours.
Behold Pastor Sunday Adelaja sent me an email! Wow, I could not believe my eyes. He responded by giving me access to his personal assistant for any enquiries I needed to make. I had never heard of anything like this before – a GMOG (Great man of God) responding to an email by himself within 48 hours. I not only got a response, but received an appointment to speak with Dr.Sunday Adelaja himself by the next week. This is unbelievable!!!
This was how my journey with this great man began and ever since, my life and that of my family have been awesomely transformed through his teachings. I found so much to learn on his blog sundayadelajablog.com and his facebook page where I have been receiving tonnes of inspiration and mentorship till date.
After listening to over 500 video messages of this man, I am beginning to wonder if this may probably be yet another Jesus walking on the face of this earth. Why do I say this:
- Has so much depth and knowledge and speaks with so much wisdom
- Has written over 300 books, with a target of writing 1000 books in his lifetime
- He has a vision of transforming the nation of his birth

- Does not depend on the tithes of his members to sustain himself
- He does not get involved with the finances of the churches under him (every church under him runs as an independent entity)
- He built a 60 room house in Ukraine but occupies only 10% of that house with his family
( brethren/ members of his congregation are occupying the rest of the house) - He is more interested in building people and not members

Que : What impact has his teachings done in my life?
The teachings of this man has done in my life what over 30 years of church attendance has not done for me and what over 9 years of professional experience did not give to me. My mind has been so expanded. Firstly, the teachings exposed me to the importance of personal development and why I must be in charge of developing myself and not leave it to the school system, the church system, my parents, my work place or any other institution. I must take 100% responsibility for my life. Secondly, his teachings have created in me the sense of urgency to step into the very essence of my existence here on planet earth. We are here on a purpose and this purpose is not only locked up in church. We are here for the earth.
We are here as “Earth’s managers” and have been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the earth for God- This is the whole essence of the man God created. Through his teachings, I have now discovered my own portion of this assignment and currently researching into it to enable me step in and begin to exert influence in that sphere. Also, his teachings have released me from the bondage of the world system, that system that aims to hold me down with the aim of keeping me in perpetual slavery all my life. This is the most important revelation of my life, I had never heard this teachings anywhere prior to now.
I have been so liberated.
I would not fail to mention the impact of his teachings on my understanding of time. Now I am in total control of my time with the understanding I received that time is the greatest resource available to man, even far more important than money. Everything comes from time. The understanding of time and conversion of that time is the difference between the rich and the poor, the great and small. This is so important, “Your time is your life”, so do not waste it!
Even though I met this man in my quest to resolve the financial crisis in my life, I have received into my life far more than that – I got my life back as I am in total control of my life right now, I got a better understanding of what the marriage institution is all about , I gained insight into the difference between the 3% of those controlling the world and the 97% of the rest of the biomass which was where I belonged prior to now, I received parenting tips on raising exceptional children. It is worthy of mentioning that DSA has 3 children (Perez, Zoe, Pearl) who are really exceptional, you need to hear them speak.
The last of them Pearl has written 14 books and just turned 14 years last year. I could go on and on, but I would say this in closing – I make bold to state here that you should watch out for me in the next few years as I rewrite the story of my life and develop myself into an influence in this same nation where most people prefer to either pray or complain instead of taking charge of a sphere to influence positively. With the knowledge and principles garnered from this man, I will set an example with myself for the world to see.

Dear Pastor, as you celebrate your 50th birthday today, which also coincides with my wedding anniversary, I am so excited to honor you for the impact you have made in my life and the life of my family.
