Using Public transport services in Uganda, can mean taking a ride on the infamous motorcycle taxis commonly known as boda boda, which often don’t respect any traffic rules in the country’s capital, Kampala. But in some rural communities, the motorbikes are better known for providing a life-saving emergency health service in the form of ambulances.
The head motorcycle ambulance driver of Ruhiira Parish, Joshua Tusubira says “I teach and remind my fellows on what they’re supposed to do, and put more energy in them that they should love their job.”
An Attendant lowers the hood of the motorcycle ambulance on a pregnant woman , who has never seen anything like the ambulance stretcher before in her life.
