NEED OR GREED?

• Most of the things we pray for are more driven by Greed than by need. Greed makes us want more than we can handle. It makes us heap up things until we have to acquire more living space just to keep it all.
• Greed is a spirit! It drives places like corporate America and many other advanced economies of the world.
• Greed is pervasive within the western culture (as well as most of the developing world especially Africa).
• The church is not immune to the vices of greed.
• We seem to have forgotten that God only promised to meet our needs, not to satiate our greed.
• The sad reality is that greed is vigorously promoted from our pulpit and by those who are supposed to be the pillar of truth and justice in society.
