LEARNING TO LIVE FROM THE INSIDE OUT (PART 4).

WHAT INFLUENCES YOUR DECISIONS AND ACTIONS THE MOST ON A DAILY BASIS?

As with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, we now allow the beauty of the fruit we see outside, to influence and determine our judgments. The decision of Eve to act against the instructions of God was determined by the attractiveness of what she saw outside – the beauty of the fruit and the information she got from the serpent. That too is coming from outside. Those outward sources of information clouded her mind over the original instruction she and Adam had received and lived by, which came from God Himself.

That instruction to them said that they should not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That prior knowledge is the kingdom of God inside them. That knowledge is coded inside our system. The knowledge of what is right, what is good, what is just, is buried inside our conscience, inside our blood system, inside our DNA, inside our body, nervous system, brain and soul. The kingdom of God is built into us. We are meant to live from the inside of us, not from the outside.

The mistake they made as we often repeat today, is that they made the outward or physical things the source of their decisions and eventually actions. God intended it to be the opposite. We must live by the instruction that is already inside our spirits. As in this case, their inner instruction was not to eat of the tree of knowledge of God and evil, while the outward reality was the beautiful looking fruit.

Today, most of us are not even aware of this truth, that we are made to live from inside out. While those who might know about this don’t necessarily know how to live from inside out.

“What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

My question to you dear friends is, what influences your decisions and actions the most on a daily basis? Is it what you see, hear and feel? Does what happen around you determine how you act and behave? Well, that is not how we are meant to live at all. We are actually supposed to be a little bit numb to all the realities around us, until we perceive in our spirit man, what our line of action must be. It is only after that, we ought to come into full gear, putting all our sense and faculties to work in obedience to the inner promptings and directions we perceive from inside.

Sometimes we feel as if nothing is coming from our spirit. That is not the truth though. The reality is that God’s Spirit is always speaking to our spirit. Only our minds are not in a position to understand all that is going on in our spirit man. So we simply assume that God has been quiet all along.

Even though God will speak to some people more often than others, the term “God’s Spirit is always speaking” is my attempt to use a familiar religious terminology. What actually happens is that in the spirit realm, God is like a huge wave of information. A man’s spirit especially when developed, could easily tune into God’s frequency and download relevant information.

To be continued tomorrow {Part 5}.
